It is not strange that you get confused with these terms considering that both viruses and fungi love humid and warm environments. So that you know what health problem you have in your feet, you must identify what symptoms each one produces. Foot fungus manifests itself like this:
- They are installed on the nails or in the middle of the fingers
- Itching
- Redness
- Onychomycosis, changes in thickness or color in the nails.
- Wrinkled skin, peeling or painful cracks
- Bad smell
- Corns or corns
- Athlete's foot
And viruses, like this:
Plantar wart or plantar papilloma

It is a lump on the sole of the foot or heels so called because it is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) that enters when there are cuts or cracks. Children and adolescents are the most vulnerable to contracting them and people who have had them before. Its symptoms include:
- Pain when standing or walking.
- Thickening of the skin over apparently healthy areas, where the wart grew inward.
- Black spots, commonly called 'wart seeds', but which are actually small clotted blood vessels.
Although plantar warts are caused by HPV, they are not easily spread from person to person. Walking barefoot in common areas or in swimming pools is another way of contracting the virus.
Prevention
- Do not touch them, if you do, wash your hands immediately.
- Do not walk barefoot
- Wear clean socks
- Disinfect nail clippers or other implements so as not to infect healthy skin or nails.
If you have an optimal immune system, you will be blessed to contract fewer infections than a person with a low immune system. And not everyone who comes into contact with the virus gets warts. Even people in the same family react differently to the virus.
If you notice, most foot problems are caused by fungi, they are not serious and can currently be treated with natural products without investing a lot of money, it is no secret to anyone that traditional dermatological products are expensive and toxic.
